Journal of Qualitative Research in Language Education (JQRLE) is an online scientific journal published bi-monthly (June and December). It promotes scholarly discussions of empirical research in language education issues garnered within the qualitative research approach. The journal was created to promote qualitative research that captures language learning and teaching phenomena all around the world. It intends to be an international space for debates, discussions, and controversies among language education researchers.

Research published in JQRLE may employ a variety of qualitative research approaches such as narrative inquiry, case study, phenomenology, grounded theory, ethnography, life history, autoethnography, and photovoice, amongst others. In addition, innovative or provocative approaches to qualitative research as well as the way research is reported are encouraged.

Peer Review Policy: All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous referees.
